Dear NextEarthians,

May, the final month of spring, brought numerous developments to our beloved project, Next Earth. From website updates to the launch of the RisingStar webapp, a DAO-vote on the Treasure Hunt Game, and the start of alpha testing registration, to name a few, it’s been an exciting month. Let’s dive into the details.

Updated Next Earth Website with New Features

We’ve added several new content elements to the Next Earth website that we believe will be both useful and engaging. Here are some notable additions:

Next Earth Academy: Our Chief Product Officer, David Taylor, has curated an educational program that covers topics ranging from internet basics and cloud computing to blockchain technology, tokenization, and the Next Earth ecosystem. Initially intended to educate our Ambassadors, we decided to make these resources available to all users, free of charge. Access the courses here.

• Community Projects Showcase: In support of our active community members who have started projects on our platform, we’ve created a dedicated section on the Next Earth homepage to showcase their work.
• Marketplace Selection MVP: A selection of the most popular lands from the Marketplace can now be seen on the Next Earth homepage. Our team currently curates this MVP manually. In the future, we plan to develop an automated feature to showcase areas in the Market or on the Next Earth website.
• Updated Roadmap: Reflecting our long-term strategic goal of creating a fair digital life in the metaverse using web3, NEOS, and AI, our updated 2023 Roadmap now better represents the upcoming features and elements.

RisingStar Webapp Launch

RisingStar, the first launchpad project of Next Earth, made significant progress in May on their journey to revolutionize the way users interact with 3D content: they launched the RisingStar Web App, which allows a seamless experience across Android and iOS devices and desktop computers.

With the RisingStar Web App, users no longer need to download a separate app, as the experience now runs smoothly on Android and iOS devices as well as desktop computers with a 3D viewer. Additionally, 3D models load instantly, eliminating the need to wait for gigabytes of data to download. The app also offers the flexibility to place extra 3D objects or stages around the models and build interactive experiences using target tracking. RisingStar Head of Product Mark Katona held a live AMA on Discord for the launch.

In the near future, RisingStar plans to introduce an updated content and content selector page, deeper integration of components for a more seamless user experience, Metamask integration for exclusive access and content to STAR token holders, and preloading content for users with slow network connections.

Treasure Hunt Game DAO-Vote and Alpha Testing Registration

Over 700 landowners cast their vote in the DAO-vote, deciding on the theme for the first season of the Treasure Hunt Game. The community has chosen the inaugural adventure theme to be ‘Treasure of the Caribbean’. A massive thank you to everyone who participated!

We are also thrilled to announce that the alpha testing phase for the Treasure Hunt Game is on the horizon, with 100 lucky registrants ready to experience the game before everyone else. Watch the latest sneak-peek video of the Treasure Hunt Game.

End of First 180-Day Staking Campaign

The first 180-day staking campaign of Next Earth concluded in early May. Users had the opportunity to collect their rewards or opt to restake their tokens. Thanks to the diligent work of our developers, the initial bugs were quickly fixed, ensuring smooth operation of the staking process.

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in our staking campaign. Your ongoing support is truly invaluable to us.
